It is almost Foo Foo Club time again and it looks like this is gonna be a bumper session with more than 20 ladies.

Please let me know if you can contribute any wool or stuffing(cheap pillows from Jet) or otherwise elastic on a card? Every bit helps and these dolls go to kids that have absolutely nothing ... we are looking to send dolls to Zimbabwe , a Stellenbosch Crisis/rape Centre and also Khayelitsha.

Lets share Gods love one hug at a time especially during this cold,wet winter x x Heath

Amazing Foo Foo moments

Helloooo

We have just recently had another awesome Foo Foo Club and for the first time at my own home ... so very special and such an awesome tribute to God and all that He is doing through the Foo Foo Club!

We also have FABULOUS NEWS!!! that a new Foo Foo Club is starting up shortly in Pinelands and the hostess will be Brenda McCord , Brenda will be running this club along with ladsies from her local church and I really want to wish her and her club a hearty ' welcome to the family' and I trusting the Lord to bless them as I have been blessed and to bring those in need across Brenda's path that she may begin to see the joys and rewards of helping those in need!

As you can see things have been very busy and to add to the fun I recently had a workshop with a dear friend of mine Shirley (thanks for all the help Shirls) assisting me we took on the challenge of 3 young ladies from our church ( all below teens) and taught them and helped them make their own Foo Foo Dolls , here are a few pics to show what fun we had :)

Please remember if you are able to assist we are always looking for stuffing , ribbon and material ............. let's share God's love one hug at a time!

Just though for the fun of it I would post the lyrics to the nursery rhyme of Little Bunny Foo Foo as from Wikipedia...

Little bunny Foo Foo

Hopping through the forest

Scooping up the field mice

Down came the Good Fairy, and she said

So you see that is where the inspiration came from :) , however it is important to note that 'FOOFOO' is also the name given by local to a staple food in Ghana and many other african countries and I believe this is God's little nudge in showing that The Foo Foo Club satifies an amotional hunger that is like a staple food for these kids souls .... helping give comfort , love and a hope in the Lord.

Foo Foo on the move...

Hi All

Just a quick one , I have just moved so there will be no normal Foo FOO club this month , if anything changes I will let you all know

A big thanks also to Nellie who has taken some Foo Foo Dolls with her to Greece to hand out at a charity there , as you know time are really tough in Greece with the countries major financial blunders , so let hope we make a few little one smile and experience Gods love one hug at a time!

A Quick Update.....

Before I start I just have write a quick thank you to Royale Africa , I entered their online facebook competition and shared my story about the Foo Foo Club and how we re-use old material buttons ribbons , cushion etc. and as a result I was blessed by winning a Kindle Touch in their March competition They were efficient in couriering it to me and communicating my win follow this link if you wish to enter....

We recently had a Foo Foo get together on the Friday 13th of April .... no we are not superstitious we believe in God!! And so we were spoilt with yet another awesome get together. Great fun was had by all with 2 new ladies joining us for the first time and all of our favorites and faithful ladies too :).

We had the first ever crowning of Miss Foo Foo 2012 {see the pictures below} Thank you San-Marie for the gorgeous Sash and Tiara and for bringing your gorgeous princess with. This will now become a yearly event and we will have an online competition at the beginning of every year with the dolls being auctioned to raise funds :).

Once again I would like to Thank Shirley Macgillivray for welcoming the Foo Foo Club into her home , for being such a gracious hostess and making all of us feel so very welcome.

A big Thank You!!

A big thank you to all who supported Foo Foo Club by buying our little choc eggs , we were able to donate R100 towards one of our youth to go on the Life Changers Church Youth Camp.

It is important in these tough economic times that we have plenty of disadvantaged families in our community , they may put up a front but at home many kids go hungry at night as parents struggle to make ends meet.

A BIGGGG Thank you again!

Foo Foo Club 17th of March...

Well it was an awesome get together on the 17th of March and yet another productive day , we are so blessed at these gatherings in how the Spirit moves within us women and often we have such great breakthrough ... a big thank you Lord!

San-Marie Storer from T.Y.L Creations joined us for the first time { see her link below } and being a fellow blogger she asked if she could share the day in her blog with a series of photo's , San-Marie kindly shared these photo's and I have compiled a collage of the pics to give an idea of the process from beginning to end .... enjoy! and I do hope to see you soon.
